You may have read our guide on collecting Final Fantasy XIV Gil. However, today we're bringing you a guide to the Mounts.

Final Fantasy XIV offers more than 200 mounts to enjoy everything for players fruitfully. This guide will take you to know everything about the Alkonost & Vinegaroon Mount and the process of how to get them in FFXIV.

How to Get Alkonost Mount in Final Fantasy XIV?

Alkonost Mount

There are two ways to obtain the Alkonost mount:

1. Find three Resplendent Feathers

You will have to obtain three Resplendent Feathers to trade with a vendor to get the mount. The steps are as follows:

1). You can only find these feathers by completing Treasure Maps, specifically the Timeworn Kumbhiraskin Treasure Maps.

2). You can find them by collecting level 90 resource nodes or fishing in the Endwalker region.

3). When you get one of these treasure maps, you'll need to make it to the final chest, and there's a chance a Resplendent Feather will be available as a reward.

4). Because you will need three Resplendent Feathers, you can expect to take quite a bit of time trying to find them.

5). After you have got three Resplendent Feathers, you can travel to Radz-at-Han to begin finding the vendor.

6). The vendor's name is 'Nesvaaz,' and you will be able to find them at the coordinates X: 10.6 and Y: 10.1.

7). When looking through the items, find the 'Alkonost Whistle' and 'exchange'/buy it with the feathers you have collected.

8). Utilize the whistle from your inventory, and you will now have the vibrant Alkonost mount!

2. Buy on the Market Board

The mount can be bought on the Market Board. But since it was released very recently, it'll likely be expensive—around 1 million Gil or more. The price should decrease over time, similarly to other tradeable mounts in the game.

How to Get the Vinegaroon Mount in Final Fantasy XIV?

Vinegaroon Mount

The Vinegaroon Mount is obtained simply as a new reward from spending Sacks of Nuts in Old Sharlayan, so you need to have some requirements to buy it.

1. Unlock the Vendor

1). To unlock the vendor for it, players should complete the side quest "Elite and Dangerous" and the main scenario quest "Old Sharlayan, New to You."

2). Players can then be eligible for the quest "The Hunt for Specimens" to unlock the Guildship Hunt Vendor, located in Old Sharlayan in Scholar's Harbor, right next to the Hunt Board.

2. Rack Up 3,200 Clan Nuts

To purchase the Vinegaroon Horn, you'll need to rack up 3,200 Clan Nuts. The method is as follows:

First, you can take on hunts by heading to the Guildship Hunt Board. The most recent and valuable hunts are available in Old Sharlayan, at X: 11.8, Y 13.2. There are three bills that task you to kill five different mobs from the Endwalker expansion and can be acquired daily. There is also an elite enemy that can only be done once a week. These yield between three and 100 Clan Nuts per hunt and are your best option for farming this mount.

The other method to obtain Sacks of Nuts is by defeating rare spawning mobs from Endwalker or Shadowbringers. Some A-rank enemies spawn a few times a day, and S-rank ones are extremely rare and require specific requirements to spawn. These mobs cannot be soloed, which has led to players creating "hunt trains" to kill them in large groups. Joining a hunt Discord or fellowship is the best way to keep up with their spawns.

3. Back to the Vendor to buy the Vinegaroon Horn

Once you've got your 3,200 Clan Nuts, head to the NPC J'lakshai , located at X: 11.8, Y 13.2. You can buy the Vinegaroon Horn here, which will allow the player to summon the Vinegaroon mount once consumed. To do that, navigate to your inventory, find the horn, and use it. Then go to the Mount Guide under the Character menu to add it to your favorites or summon it.
